The City of Waterloo operates a comprehensive street department that encompasses a number of services. Routine duties such as street cleaning, maintenance & repair and snow removal are combined with a yearly Sidewalk Replacement Program, Chip-n-Seal Program and Bird Determent Program. The yearly Motor Fuel Tax Program (MFT) provides funding through the Illinois Department of Transportation for major street repair programs throughout the city. The Street Department additionally runs a Yard Waste Disposal Area for citizen convenience at Lakeview Park. There is also a large limb pick-up service available for resident use by calling City Hall.
