The City of Waterloo is in a unique position to offer its residents a full range of electric, gas, water and sewer services. With up-to-date equipment and a highly trained, resident staff, each department installs and maintains all their respective utility lines within the city limits. As a city function, these services are also available for emergencies during non-working hours through an on-call rotation system that allows for a quick response time. City of Waterloo utility department employees undergo intensive training and subsequent continuous testing in order to insure safety in the field for themselves and for consumers.

Utility services may be applied for at the Waterloo City Hall, 100 W. Fourth Street, Waterloo, IL 62298. A security deposit for each utility is required for new customers and automatically refunded after timely payment for twelve consecutive months.
