Subdivision Development General Any subdivision or platting of land, development of land, or construction of improvements upon land in the City of Waterloo must comply with the requirements of the Subdivision Code of the City of Waterloo. In addition, the Subdivision Code requirements apply to those developments of land within a 1-1/2 mile radius of the city’s boundaries.
For a residential development:
A sketch plat for a proposed development may be submitted for review and comment prior to the submission of a preliminary plat. The sketch plat is reviewed by the Planning Commission, City staff, and appropriate committees, and recommendations are given. (A sketch plat is not required before submission of a preliminary plat.) All plats and plans are to be submitted to the Subdivision Administrator.
For commercial developments:
Site plans are to be submitted to the Subdivision Administrator. |
