The Monroe County Economic Development Corporation (MCEDC) well knows that the economic well-being of a region depends on the health and future growth of our businesses. To truly move our economy forward, we need the input of vital business leaders like yourself. We are currently assessing challenges that businesses may be facing located in the following areas: Dupo, Columbia, Hecker, Valmeyer, Maeystown, Waterloo, Red Bud, and unincorporated Monroe County.

Information gathered from this survey will be combined with other research to build a Plan that will include recovery strategies tailored to the strengths and vulnerabilities of our area. Because this is a planning initiative funded by the State’s Research in Illinois to Spur Economic Recovery (RISE) Grant program, at a later date, the MCEDC will also be eligible to apply for RISE implementation grant funding, to support specific initiatives or capital projects detailed in our completed Economic Recovery Plan.
