Full-Time Apprentice Lineman

**This position will not start until Sept./Oct. 2021 for Lineman School**

Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to: Assists Linemen crews in the installation, testing, maintenance, and repair of electrical distribution service lines (underground/aerial lines), aerial/ground transformers, poles and street lights. Removes/trims trees for clearance; maintains equipment, buildings and grounds.

Applicant must acquire the following licenses:

  • CDL-Class A combination with Airbrakes license
  • First Aid Certification and CPR

The successful candidate will be required to complete the IBEW Local 309 four-year apprentice program. Starting wage is $24.26 per hour plus benefits. This position falls under the mandatory drug testing program. IBEW Local 309 has a residency requirement of residing within a 10 mile radius of City Hall.
